Extended Monaco and the Fonds Bleu: what they cover for an AI project
The Principality’s digital programme and its support fund can carry part of an AI automation project for a Monaco company. What the programme is, who qualifies in general, how the file works, and why to check before the quick-check rather than after.
Monaco is one of the few places where the Government will help a company of nine people pay for its first automation. Few directors know it; fewer use it.
What Extended Monaco is
Extended Monaco is the Principality’s digital transition programme, run by the Government, with a strand for businesses (Extended Monaco Entreprises) that supports the digitalisation of Monaco companies: diagnosis, training, projects. bss works is an official partner of the programme, which means our work can be part of a supported project when the conditions are met.
What the Fonds Bleu does
The Fonds Bleu is the fund that finances part of eligible digital projects, under conditions and ceilings set by the Government and updated over time. Eligibility depends on the company (Monaco-registered, in good standing), the project (a genuine digitalisation, with a provider) and the file. We do not reproduce the current figures here because they change; our guide on Government support links to the official pages.
How the file works
A description of the project, the provider’s quote, the company’s documents, submitted before the project starts, not after. That last point is the one companies miss: support is for projects about to begin. Which is why we check eligibility during the free quick-check and write the note so it can serve as the project description.
What it changes for a small company
For a company of nine people, the support can carry a meaningful share of a first automation, which turns “maybe next year” into “this quarter”. The programme also funds training, which pairs well with a first project: the team learns the rules for AI at work the same month the assistant arrives.
Two questions.
Where are the current conditions?
On the Government’s business pages, linked from our guide on Government support. We check them at each quick-check because they change.
Do you prepare the file for us?
We provide the project description and the quote in the expected form and help with the rest; the company submits.

AI support for Monaco businesses
Monaco has a programme for it, Extended Monaco Entreprises, and a fund, the Fonds Bleu. An AI automation is a digital project. Here is what exists, as of the Government’s latest communication, and how we help you use it.
How much does an AI project cost in Monaco?
Nobody can quote an AI project from a web page without guessing, and a guess is a lie with a currency sign. Here is what actually drives the price, how we fix it before each step, and what you get for it.
AI for a small business in Monaco
The average private employer in Monaco has nine employees. In a team that size there is no one to delegate the repetitive work to, which is exactly why AI pays back faster here than in a large company.
