home/AI in Monaco/How much does an AI project cost in Monaco?

What it costs, and what decides it.

Nobody can quote an AI project from a web page without guessing, and a guess is a lie with a currency sign. Here is what actually drives the price, how we fix it before each step, and what you get for it.

A Monaco project is priced the way the Principality is built: one quarter at a time, each one paid for before the next.

The honest answer to “how much” is “it depends on four things”, and you can know all four after a free 30-minute call. After that call you get a written note with fixed prices for the next steps.

The four things that drive the price

How many tasks. One automation (the inbox, say) is a different project from a chain across three departments. How many tools. Reading from Outlook and writing to one spreadsheet is simple; connecting an old ERP with no interface is not. How much judgement. A task with clear rules is cheap to automate and safe; a task that needs decisions needs a person in the loop, which is more design work. How sensitive the data. Client files in a regulated profession need more controls, more documentation and more testing than a supplier order.

How we price: fixed, per step

The quick-check is free. 30 minutes, then a note with the two or three tasks to start with. The prototype has a fixed price, written in that note: two weeks, on a sample of your real data, so you decide on evidence. The build has a fixed price, quoted after the prototype, when both sides know exactly what is being built. The run is monthly and you can stop it; it covers hosting, model costs, monitoring and the monthly count of hours given back. No step starts without its price agreed, and no step obliges you to the next.

What is included, and what you own

The code, documented and handed over. The data, which never left your tools. The written rules the system follows, so your team or your IT can read them. The log of everything it did. If you stop working with us, everything keeps running or your IT takes it over; nothing is held hostage. The model costs themselves are small for a company of nine people, and we show them in the monthly count.

What we do for it.

Why we do not publish a price list

Because a price list for AI projects is either so wide it means nothing or so precise it is wrong for you. What we publish instead is the method: the first step is free, every next step has a fixed price written before it starts, and the Principality’s support programme can carry part of it. Agencies that quote from a form are quoting their risk, not your project.

Questions.

Is there a minimum project size?

No. Our smallest projects are one automation for one person. If the quick-check shows there is nothing worth building, we say so and it costs nothing.

Are the model costs (ChatGPT, Claude) included?

They are part of the monthly run and shown separately in the count. For a small company they are usually a small share of the total.

Can the Government support pay for it?

Extended Monaco Entreprises and the Fonds Bleu support digital projects of Monaco companies under conditions that change; we check your eligibility in the quick-check and help with the file.

What if the prototype does not work?

You have paid for two weeks and learned something true about your data, and you owe nothing further. It happens, and it is why we prototype before building.

Do you charge by the hour?

No. Fixed prices per step, agreed before the step starts. Hourly billing rewards slowness; fixed prices reward finishing.
