Be the answer ChatGPT gives.

Your next client asks an AI assistant for “a good accountant in Monaco” or “yacht charter Monaco” before they open Google. Generative engine optimization is the work that makes the assistant name you, and get the facts right.

Monaco, as an AI assistant describes it: the businesses it cites are the ones with clear, consistent, verifiable pages.

GEO is not a trick. Answer engines cite pages that answer a question plainly, state facts the same way everywhere, and are referenced by other credible sites. That is mostly writing and structure, done with discipline.

What changed in search

A growing share of searches now ends in an AI answer rather than a list of links: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot. The answer names two or three businesses and moves on. If you are not one of them, the visitor never sees your site. For Monaco, where clients arrive from abroad and search in English, Italian or Russian as often as in French, this matters more than almost anywhere.

What answer engines actually reward

Pages that answer one question each, in plain sentences an assistant can quote. Facts (name, address, opening hours, what you do, for whom) written identically on your site, on Google, on LinkedIn and in directories. Structured data so the machine reads the page the way a person does. Mentions on other sites the engines trust: the press, professional bodies, the Government’s business directory. And content that exists in the languages your clients search in.

How we measure it

We ask the engines the questions your clients ask, every week, in each language, and record who they cite. Then we write and restructure until you appear, and keep checking. The journal on bss.mc has 169 articles cited by AI search engines; that is the method, applied to ourselves first.

What we do for it.

Why Monaco is a special case

Monaco businesses are small, international and often regulated. Their clients ask assistants in several languages, and they ask about trust: who is licensed, who is established, who speaks my language. An answer engine will happily cite a directory or a competitor from Nice if your own pages do not say these things clearly. The good news is that the competition for these questions is still thin; a well-structured site can own them within months.

Questions.

Is GEO different from SEO?

It builds on it. Good SEO gets you into the list of links; GEO gets you into the answer. The same clean site helps both, but GEO adds plain-language answers, consistent facts and structured data, and it is measured by citations rather than by rankings.

How long before an AI assistant cites us?

Weeks for questions nobody answers well yet, months for crowded ones. We start with the questions where you can win fastest and show the first citations in the monthly report.

Do we have to rewrite the whole website?

Rarely. Usually a handful of pages need to exist that do not yet, and the facts need aligning across your site and your profiles. Your design stays.

Which languages should we cover?

The ones your clients search in. For most Monaco businesses that is French and English first, then Italian; Russian for some. Assistants answer in the language of the question, and they prefer sources in that language.

Can you guarantee a citation?

No one can; the engines change weekly. We can guarantee the work, the measurement, and that you see the numbers every month.
