Questions to ask an AI agency before signing

Ten questions that separate an AI agency that will leave you a running system from one that will leave you a deck: ownership, data, prototype, who decides, what happens if you stop. With the answers we give, so you can compare.

Several agencies around Monaco now say “AI”. Most are honest; some are good. These ten questions, asked to all of them including us, tell you which.

About the work

  • Can I see something you built, running? A page of case studies with first-month numbers, and a live demo. Ours is on the work page.
  • Is there a prototype on my data before I commit to a build? Ours: two weeks, fixed price, on your real data.
  • Who decides when the system is unsure? Ours: a person, always, by design.
  • Which of my tools does it live in? Ours: the ones you have; we sell no platform.
  • How do you measure the result? Ours: a monthly count of hours given back, from the log.

About the terms

  • Who owns the code? Ours: you, documented, handed over.
  • Where does my data go, and is it used to train anything? Ours: it stays in your tools, EU-hosted by default, never used for training.
  • What happens if I stop? Ours: it keeps running or your IT takes over; nothing is held.
  • Is the price fixed before each step? Ours: yes, in writing.
  • Who will I actually deal with? Ours: the people building it, in Monaco, in French or English.

Three answers that should worry you

A platform licence before anyone has looked at your tasks. A promise of autonomous client replies on day one. A quote from a form, with no call, no prototype and no named person. None of these is dishonest; all of them put the risk on you instead of on the agency.

Two questions.

Can we ask you these on the quick-check?

Please do. The full version with our answers is on the guide on choosing an AI agency in Monaco.

Should the agency be in Monaco?

It should be able to come to your office, know the local framework and providers, and name the person you deal with. Being in the Principality makes the first two easy.

Related.

Start with a 30-minute call. Keep what it finds.

You tell us where the hours go. We tell you which two or three tasks to automate first, in a short written note. Free, in English or French.
